What is a Munny? A Munny is a 7" tall DIY toy made of hard vinyl! It is a pop art canvas! A darling friend or evil foe! Your Munny comes out of the box blank and naked - it is up to you to paint, sculpt, adorn it and bring it to life! No rules, just have fun & create!

How can I join the show?

Local Artists: Since this is the first show at our gallery space, we'd like as many local people to participate as possible! This show is OPEN to all local artists! We define local as anyone who can personally drop-off and pick-up their artwork. If you are local enough to come by the store, you're IN!

Non-Local Artists: We'd love to have all of you in the show too, but due to the cost of returning unsold pieces, we can only include a limited number of non-local artists. Please email us a few samples of your work to be considered. We will let you know if you are in as soon as we can review the submissions that we receive. The sooner you send in samples, the better!!

Now, you need a Munny! Use the coupon on the flyer for $5 OFF the purchase of your Munny at TATE’S. Munny comes with templates to help you sketch & plan out your design. Your Munny also comes with a package of "mystery" accessories that you can also use!

After you take Munny out of the box, wash it with soap & water. Before you begin painting, lightly sand and then prime your Munny. It is very important that you prime your Munny before painting it! You can paint your Munny using anything you like! Check out the Tips and Galleries for lots of info and help!

If you are certain that you are going to join the show, please email us so we can include your name on the flyer and promotional materials!

I'm done, now what? Name your Munny on the “Hello” name tag that is included in the Munny package. On the back of the "Hello" tag, print your name, phone number, email address and asking price - if you don’t want to sell your Munny, just write “NFS” (NFS means, not for sale).

All of the Munnys that are exhibited in "For Love of Munny" will be featured in an online gallery and online store, shortly after the opening on Saturday, February 3, 2006 and be on display through Saturday, March 10, 2007. If your Munny is for sale, we are doing a 60/40 split. That means that the artist receives 60% of the sale price and the gallery receives 40%. Additionally, we are donating 10% of the gallery share the the Humane Society of Broward County's annual Walk for the Animals!

Drop off your completed MUNNY at TATE’S no later than Wednesday, January 31, 2007!
There will be a little form for you to fill out when you drop your Munny off.
All "NFS" and unsold Munnys can be picked up on Saturday, March 10, 2007.
