Open for participation to all South Florida Artists! Childhood Fears Group Art Show
I know reading can be hard, but you MUST read all the important info below in order to participate!

Who can put art in this show?
This art show is OPEN to all artists living in South Florida. You do not need to submit your artwork for approval ahead of time. How do we define the area of South Florida? If you can drop-off and pick-up your artwork IN-PERSON and ON-TIME you can participate.
We do not accept any mailed-in entries or will we return any artwork via mail for our all locals shows.

What do I do? What are the requirements?
If you are certain that you will be taking part of this show, then please RSVP by Sunday, September 1st to be included on the printed flyer.
To RSVP, simply email your "ARTIST NAME" in the body of the message to amanda @ bearandbird . com

Artwork may be created in any medium, as long as it meets size limit listed below.
Items must be able to be handled/stored. Please provide a case if your work cannot be touched!
Bring only your best work! If you're going to do this, DO IT RIGHT and make your mamma proud!!

Please note the important info below! You will be TURNED AWAY if the below requirements are not met 100%.
--------------------> Limit ONE piece of artwork per person, no larger than 11”x14” in total size. <-------------------
Smaller sizes are encouraged and usually better.

11x14" is a STANDARD FRAME size, if your artwork is framed in a standard frame it is okay if the frame moldings exceed the size limit a bit. PLEASE DO NOT USE FRAMES WITH HUGE MOLDINGS THOUGH. We have limited space, which is why we have the size limit in the first place.

--------------------> Your artwork MUST have a proper hanger and be able to hang on the wall from ONE nail on the back side. <-------------------

Do not bring in stretched canvases without a hanger on the back, you will be sent to Home Depot! Simple sawtooth hangers and wires can be found everywhere... Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, craft stores, etc. They are CHEAP and easy to install. We WILL NOT ACCEPT taped-on or glued wires or tape of any kind. It never holds for long. Ever!! Trust me, putting a hanger on your artwork is easy - just do it before you come in!

Your artwork may be 'for sale' or 'for display only', complete details will be on the registration form that you must fill out when you drop off your artwork. If you have any questions, please email us.

Drop off your artwork at TATE’S Saturday, Monday, August 30th through Monday, September 20th at 7pm. No late exceptions.
Art Drop-off Final Deadline: Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7pm
Please note our hours of operation! Monday-Thursday 11am-8pm, Friday & Saturday 11am-9pm, Sunday 12noon-6pm

------------------> You MUST be able to pick up your artwork after the show! Between November 13 through 22, 2010. <-----------------
Artwork not picked up by 11/22/10 will be considered abandoned and will be donated to charity.

SHOW OPENS Saturday, October 2nd and runs through November 13th, 2010
There will be a huge opening night party, be sure to mark your calendar. Woo!
Participants will be contacted via email with reminders for opening events and art pickup. You will NOT be called via phone.

Bear and Bird Gallery holds art exhibitions twice a year
that are OPEN for participation by all South Florida artists!

To join in these shows, you do not need to submit your work ahead of time and be approved. If you're local and follow the show's criteria, you're IN! How do we define 'local'? If you can drop off and pick up your artwork in-person and by the deadlines specified, you're good.

Detailed information about the specific exhibitions will be sent out by email and be available on this page about two months before the show's opening date. Printed 'calling all artists' flyers will also be available in-store.
