CALLING ALL ARTISTS
to be a part of Bear and Bird Gallery's annual October local's mega-show!

CREEP CINEMA
Artwork inspired by scary movies!
All South Florida artists are welcome to participate!
Who can put art in this show?
This art show is OPEN to all artists living in South Florida. You do not need to submit your artwork for approval ahead of time. How do we define the area of South Florida? If you can drop-off and pick-up your artwork IN-PERSON and ON-TIME you can participate!
We do not accept any mailed-in entries, nor will we return any artwork via mail for any of our "all locals welcome" shows.
--------------------------------------------------------
What do I do? What are the requirements?
Artwork for this show must be created based on the theme of SCARY MOVIES.
Artwork may be created in any creative medium, as long as it meets the size limit listed below.
Limit ONE piece of artwork per person.
Art must be no larger than 11"x14". Smaller sizes are encouraged and usually better.
--------------------------------------------------------
Please note the three additional restrictions below:
These are simple, obvious and should be common sense, if you do not adhere to them you will be turned away!
#1: Artwork must be able to be handled/stored. Please provide a secure display case if your work is fragile and cannot be touched!
Do not bring in artwork that is WET to the touch. It will not be accepted.
Bring only your best work! If you're going to do this, DO IT RIGHT and make your mamma proud!!
#2: Your artwork MUST have a proper hanger and hang on the wall from ONE nail on the back side.
Do not bring in stretched canvases without a hanger on the back, you will be sent away to get a hanger! Simple sawtooth hangers can be found easily... Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart, craft stores, etc. They are CHEAP and easy to install. Picture hanging wires are also good. We WILL NOT ACCEPT taped-on or glued wires or tape of any kind. It never holds for long. Ever!! Trust me, putting a hanger on your artwork is easy - just do it!
#3: DO NOT USE FRAMES WITH HUGE MOLDINGS OR MATTE BOARD, YOUR ARTWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
We have limited space, which is why we have the size limit in the first place. Think about how you will present your artwork before you "finish" it.
