Crayon Shin Chan is the star of DOZENS of manga books. The manga titles are put out by Action Comics and written and drawn by Yoshito Usui. We have copies of many of these volumes in Japanese and Chinese language. The illustrations are delightful and the stories very humorous. If you have never had the pleasure of see a Crayon Shin Chan cartoon, read these short comics and you will get an idea of his wacky personality.
We are VERY pround to bring this to you! We have always wanted to read the MANY manga titles that follow Crayon Shin Chan's adventures... we put up a sign in the store requesting anyone who could read AND TRANSLATE Chinese or Japanese to let us know. Quite a few people claimed to be able to read one language or the other, but few felt they could accurately translate it. At long last our savior came along- his name is Moses Chong and he (with some help from his sister Crispina) brought little Shin Chan into our world!
Since we had our own copy of Crayon Volume One translated (in 1999) it has been 'officially' released in the United States by ComicsOne! A fairly new company, ComicsOne has released many great titles, but we were still very surprised when we found out Crayon was being translated for the U.S. market. You will notice some minor differences between 'our' translation and the 'official' translation... for one thing ComicsOne substitutes Crayon's beloved snack Chocobee for a Britney Spears Poster?!
